I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
